The Panic to Performance Programme

Unlocking the Key to Increased Employee Resilience, Focus, Engagement & Results

Though change is inevitable, the pace and size of change in all aspects of life and business have accelerated over the past five years to the point that both companies and individual employees are trying to catch their breath and make sense of things, whilst also trying to keep the ship afloat.

While the lines between home and work life have been blurred, the connection between individual mental and physical wellbeing and productivity and performance at work have never been clearer.

This can leave organisations confused and concerned about the role they need to play and how best to support their people in order to help them get through the personal and professional challenges they are facing, and back to peak performance.

That’s where this programme comes in …

In the Panic to Performance programme your employees will discover personal tools to manage change and raise resilience, so that their confidence, effectiveness at work and wellbeing are increased. As a result of this organisations we have worked with before experienced gains in productivity, motivation and proactivity from employees.

Who’s it for?

This programme is for organisations who are experiencing significant change or wish to be pro-active in helping employees cope with such issues as loss of identity, change in circumstances, self-esteem, relationship issues or reassessing their sense of purpose.

What it’s not…

This is not a mental health first aid or some such course, for organisations who want to be seen to be ticking the box without really equipping their employees with the tools to navigate the challenges of work and life.

What it is…

Panic to Performance is a practical, action-based programme that will enable your staff to balance, prioritise and compartmentalise their home life and work productivity, so that they avoid mental or emotional burnout and increase job their satisfaction.

We show individuals how to look after themselves more positively, but we also help your employees to understand their mental health and learn to identify and deal with other factors that can contribute to improved performance.

We help your organisation to find a balance that makes everyone feel supported and valued with the right skills to look after themselves and others.

Programme Outline

On the Panic to Performance Programme your employees will have a mix of group and individual sessions covering:

  • How to reframe problems and negative thinking so that practical solutions can be found and implemented.
  • How to identify limiting beliefs that are sabotaging personal performance and career potential.
  • Enhanced communication and listening skills and how to apply them in different contexts so that conversations have more clarity and intention.
  • The link between mental toughness, decision making and thriving rather than just surviving.
  • Holistic tools for managing fear, stress, and anxiety to avoid emotional or mental burnout.

(We can also completely bespoke the sessions depending on the specific needs and challenges of the organisation.)

How much is it?

Panic to Performance is a training programme designed to be delivered over six months to enable people to get support and feedback whilst they are implementing what they are learning.

We have also tailored the options so that organisations can pick the version that works best for the level of change they’re experiencing and budget available.

All sessions are currently on-line, delivered monthly, and priced per group of six employees.

Who am I?

I’m Gill Mathias, a Psychotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner, and I’m on a mission to ensure that no-one is stopped from fulfilling their potential or living life to the full because of a lack of self-esteem or mental toughness.

As a sportswoman and professional tennis coach I have experienced first-hand the link between coaching the mind and sports performance. As an MD of a successful property company with a multi-million-pound turnover, I have also experienced the connection between mental resilience and business performance.

This fascination between the powerful connection of mind and body eventually lead me to train as a Psychotherapist, Holistic practitioner and NLP Master practitioner.

Over recent years my work has been focused within the resilience arena helping individuals and organisations to avoid and manage stress, anxiety, fear, and self-esteem issues.

My corporate clients include the LTA, Bank of America, Santander (Rev 5 employees), local Councils, SME’s working through the Growth Accelerator Scheme, Loughborough University, Pallex, Toyota, SCOPE, AAT. I also supported both British Midland and Jet 2 during their collapse with “Change”.

I run programmes supported by CPD and have presented a programme to the CIPD.

TESTIMONIALS

INSPIRED ACTION PROGRAMME

I have had excellent sessions with Gill and found it to be quite inspirational in helping with my mind-set.

I found her extremely professional, unthreatening and she completely transformed my way of thinking and re-framing.

Gill came through a recommendation, and I would have no hesitation in referring her to anyone requiring mental support.

INSPIRED ACTION COURSE

Seeking help from Gill was brilliant, she helped me very quickly to gain clarity and confidence again in my life.

I had several limiting beliefs about my past and resolving those issues has been most helpful for my own self- identity. It was important to learn that there are beliefs but that the information may not be true.

SCOPE COACHING/TRAINING

Gill has worked with our staff for some time. She has trained the customer service staff in all regions of Great Britain and has had excellent feedback. She is a great listener and is able to communicate well with our staff.

As a result Gill has worked with a number of our volunteers with mental health situations and has helped resolve disputes between different parties.

SCOPE

Thank you as ever for a very, very useful session today. I am so extremely grateful for all the effort you have put into the course and in helping us as a group and on a personal basis.

I have found it so worthwhile and enormously helpful for my productivity, mindset and stress related challenges. All the processes and tips you have provided have helped me more than I would ever have expected.

I have come from a place of feeling terrified to one of calm and feeling in control of my destiny which I know sounds like a cliché but it is so true.

I just don’t have the words to express my gratitude.

From the outset of the pandemic, with all of our colleagues working from home, staff well-being at AAT was high on our priority list. We provided staff with a lot of communications, on where to go for support and also online provisions to help with both physical and mental wellbeing, but we still felt we could do more. In May 2020 we initially offered colleagues who had been furloughed some group resilience and mindset coaching sessions run by Gill Mathias, and after receiving such a positive response, we soon offered them to all staff.

The programmes ran throughout last year and through to the end of the most recent lockdown. Gill’s sessions gave colleagues the tools they needed to build their resilience and to look forward to a positive future during an incredibly uncertain time. The group coaching sessions were also followed up with individual sessions which provided the opportunity to discuss any issues they did not want to share in the group sessions with Gill alone.
The feedback we have had has been incredibly positive and I would highly recommend Gill.

INSPIRED ACTION PROGRAMME

“I started working with Gill as my self -development coach in October 2018 when I was in a very dark place.”

“Gill has given me the tools to cope when I have my self-doubt moments, and I have perspective for the first time in the long time.”

I am very happy to recommend her to anyone at any age; but for me, turning 60 was looking to be yet another negative…….I don’t think that anymore, thanks to Gill!”

Gill has helped me in numerous ways at different crossroads in my life. Her warm, calm and comforting approach is perfect at providing you with grounding during turbulent or confusing times. She has supported me in building up my resilience such that I learn from challenges and see them as an opportunity to evolve. Gill truly cares about your wellbeing and is someone who you can instantly feel comfortable being vulnerable with. She is extremely respectful of any difficulty you may be facing and can be relied upon as a trustworthy source of clarity and rational thinking. I would highly recommend that everyone has Gill in their life and couldn’t be more grateful for her guidance and patience!

Gill gave us training on self-esteem, confidence and resilience to a group of our Senior Teams. They were awe-inspiring days with so many tips and with clear actions for us to take on board. This was followed up with individual calls to each delegate which was gratefully received. All the delegates in the evaluation gave Gill a massive 10 out of 10!
